Filters come in all shapes and sizes. Your current filter might say on the side: "14 x 30 x 1" but the actual size of the filter, when you put a tape measure up to it, will actually read: "13 7/8 x 29 7/8 x 7/8".  That is because filters are purposely manufactured to be slightly smaller than the opening they will cover in order to make installation easier.  So when typing in your filter size, be sure to tell us 14 x 30 x 1, instead of 13 7/8 x 29 7/8 x 7/8.
